Don’t put off things until tomorrow, which you can do today. A typical saying you would hear your grandmother say while having tea with her. I never have been a lazy girl. A structured little creature like me. Always a clean house and things in order.
Although.. sometimes.. The sin sloth, is more than we think it is. If you come to think of it, one could see it as indifference or boredom. A workaholic isn’t the logical person to accuse of being a sloth, however, due to the focus on the work he might neglect his family which might be seen as indifference to the relationship.
It’s something that sneaks into your system. Take watching tv shows on Netflix for example. Betty loves this. Not having to think about anything and wandering off in your head to whatever she prefers to watch at that moment. The disadvantage is that some tv shows on Netflix have 8 seasons and after each episode the next one starts automatically after a few seconds. If you wanted you could be watching for days, living in the world of a story and not leaving the house.
Sloth, might also mean that you’re not believing in anything, not caring about anything, not involving in anything and seeing no purpose in anything. Betty has a thing about working out. She believes in the function of it, well.. a bit, but it’s a hassle.. This is when slothfulness is being promoted by her. Hm.. working out, we can do that later, let’s watch some more of that tv show, right? Usually it ends in us watching an entire season and a slight feeling of guilt and waiting for the next day to try again.
But I got her now! My dear Betty. I placed a table next to the cross trainer. I placed a tablet on it.. with NETFLIX! Now we can work out and watch our tv show. Ha! 1-0 for me. One sin less to worry about. .
